As the end of
each day
approaches, make
sure that you
have ended that
day in the most
positive way
that you can,
for as it is
written there is
no promise of
tomorrow. The
days that God
gives us are
days that we are
expected to use
to travel in a
positive
attitude that we
have been chosen
as Children of
God. As these
children we must
make all efforts
within our
capabilities to
live and do as a
child of God
should do. We
are human and we
do slip and
stumble along
the way. It is
then when we
should remember
that as Children
of God we have
been given, by
the greatest
gift ever given,
a chance and a
choice as to
whether we will
get up and go
forward in the
knowledge that
God has a place
of love and
glory ahead or
do we curse the
stone we have
stumbled on not
realizing that
the stone was
indeed God’s
foot placed in
our path. The
blessings of
this life are
often overlooked
as we rush
through our day.
It is not until
such time as we
are confronted
with the mortal
sorrows of life
that one then
says “If only I
had done it this
way...” Only
with God’s
guidance can we
walk that daily
walk in a
positive light
and way. It is
then when we are
able to see that
“this way” can
indeed begin
anew not only
with each new
day that we are
graced with but
also with each
new step we take
in our daily
journey. It is
my daily prayer
that I walk a
positive path
that others may
see my love of
God by the
things I do and
the things I
say. With God’s
Grace I will
rest tonight so
I might try
again tomorrow.

God bless St
Paul UMC! We are winding down our 40 Days of Purpose and I
cannot believe that 40 days have passed. I was blessed to be on
the 40 Days Task Force and God has blessed me each and every
day. I have made many new friends and I have become very close
to people that were mere acquaintances before this spiritual
renewal began. I have seen God at work and God is so good!
Celebration Sunday is this week and I know God is at work and
folks are praying about their commitment for 2008. It really is
amazing to think how many people we can reach for God through
this little church on the hill at Davies Plantation and Hwy 64.
I have had ‘moments with God’ each day these past six weeks
through the many faces of the St Paul congregation. God bless
each one of you who have been ‘the face of Jesus’ for me.
Keep God close to your heart.............

Today has been one of the most
God-centered, glory-filled days in recent history. Since
yesterday had emotional up/downs, I wasn’t sure how time with my
Stephen Minister (SM) was going to run today. I have gone
through struggles and a lot of hard work in the past couple of
years and know God has been planning this awakening for some
time.
My SM and I see healing has
occurred and brought changes w/ it- hard and easy to accept.
Today through prayer and listening to the rain, I can start to
feel and understand what it means when I/we say “I forgive
myself.” There are areas of Christianity we each have
difficulty understanding, let alone accepting.
This was a break-through day for
me.
Later on I saw several St Paul
members where I don’t normally see them, I had energy and desire
to complete tasks at home- I was on cloud 9! On top of this
great day, I was stopped by another Christian who attends
studies at SP. I knew nothing of him except his first name.
Now I know how many children he has, that he will be joining a
study I’m in AND he is so open to the Holy Spirit he could see
and feel (though goose bumps and swift air) that God had me
wrapped safely in His grace.
To share that moment w/ another
Christian is INCREDIBLE to say the least. I am awed and humbled
and delighted to know God the Father, Creator and Sustainer
loves me and can let me show His love and grace to another.
God Bless
